Budweiser Can Phone - Newer Version

This is a one piece phone with pulse dialing, modular plug, last number redial, mute key. Stand the can on any flat surface to hangup, lift to get dial tone. Dial is on the bottom and you listen and talk on the side of the phone. The can is about 8 inches tall. Has an extra long cord. Manufactured by Ronsonic / RTC® with an original suggested retail price of $18.90.

Coca-Cola Bottle Made in 1983 in China for Arrow Trading Co. of New York. Licensed by Coca-Cola. Features include tone/pulse dialing switch, last-number redial, mute key. Marketed as Model 5000. Approximately 9 inches tall. It originally came with a plastic bracket that allowed it to be mounted on a wall.
Coca-Cola Cup Looks like a red Coca-Cola 16 oz. cup with straw and with the Coca-Cola logo in white lettering on the side of cup. Dial on bottom of cup. Made in 1980s. Tone/pulse switchable, mute key, Auto-last number redial. Desk/table top stand. Modular plug. Push button keyboard. Model AR-5040.
Coca-Cola Olympics Cube 1984 Olympic (Los Angeles?) Coca Cola cube speaker telephone. It is plastic, 4" square with 2 sides showing a Coke logo and 2 Sides showing USA Olympic logos. Large touch pad numbers on top. Also has a condenser microphone and last number redial. Made in Hong Kong by Gary Electronics Corporation. Model HCSP-83.

Coors Can Coors Beer Can telephone was made in the 1980s by Tectel in Taiwan and licensed by the Adolph Coors Company. Stands upright on any flat surface. Lift to get dial tone. Features last-number redial, mute key. 6-1/4" high and 2-1/4" wide.
Crest Toothpaste Sparkleman This 1980s sparkly blue plastic novelty telephone was a Crest Toothpaste premium. He stands 11" tall on a 5-1/8" diameter base. The push button dial and disconnect button are located under the base. You listen to his chest and talk into his feet. His index finger lights up when the phone rings. Features pulse/tone switch, ringer on/off switch, last-number redial, mute key. Made in Taiwan, model IH-168.
Duracell Battery Duracell Battery-shaped one-piece Phone. Pick it up and dial - set it down to hang up. Measures 5.5 inches high x 3 inch diameter. Made in about 2004.
Canada Dry SugarFree Ginger Ale Can 1980s 6-1/2 inches tall can telephone hangs up when put down on a table. Features include a 14 ft cord, tone/pulse dialing switch push button dialing, last number redial, and a mute button. The original box looks like a larger can. Made by Tectel in Taiwan, and licensed by Anheuser-Busch.
Ghost Busters #1 Ghostbusters promotional telephone. Given to video dealers as an incentive for purchase when the movie came out on video in 1985. Phone has ghostbuster logo and RCA/Columbia picture logo. Requires a battery. From finger to finger it is 13" wide. This has a very thin hard plastic base that could be easily torn. Model: ST-738. Features include touch-tone dialing, mute key, and last number redial.

1980s "Punchy" telephone from Hawaiian Punch features the trademark character (wearing a hat) on a blue and red base. It is about 11" tall. Punchy is holding the receiver in his right hand.

In 1998 this phone was valued at USD140-180 in "Collectible NOVELTY TELEPHONES - price guide" 

 

Heinz Ketchup Bottle 1984, HJ Heinz Company. The phone stands about 9" tall. The push-button dial is on the bottom of the bottle, and a button on the bottom disconnects the call when the bottle is put down on a surface. Last-number redial, mute key. Made in Taiwan.

Keebler Elf Copyright 1985, Keebler Company.TelELFphone, distributed to store managers as a promotional item. Phone is 13 1/2" tall from bottom of red base to top of the elf's hat. Entire phone is plastic with very vivid red, yellow, green & white colors. Says (tel Elf phone) across front at bottom. Features include tone/pulse switch, last-number redial, mute key. Made in Hong Kong.

Copyright McDonald's. Ronald sits cross-legged on the phone's white base. His right arm is extended to the right and he holds the receiver in his right hand. The pushbuttons are on the base in front of Ronald. Features ringer on/off switch and ringer volume control. Made in 1980, it measures 16 inches high x 14 inches wide x 12 inches deep. Made by Rubicam Creative Products Ltd., Toronto, Canada. Model 6003-0001.
French Fry Phone The phone looks like a large order of McDonald's french fries. The box is red and sticking out of the top of the box are six french fries. The box and french fries are made of plastic. With a push of a button, this imitation box of fries converts to a working telephone. This phone was originally a premium offer of Ore Ida Fast Fries around 1992. On the front of the phone, it says 'French Fry Phone'. On the back is a paper label endorsing Ore Ida Fast Fries.
McDonald's Car 1993 telephone made for Columbia TEL-COM and licensed by McDonald's. Features tone/pulse switch, last-number redial, mute key. Made in China. Model HAC McDonald-27.

FCC No. B187D4-12137-TE-T. REN 0.6B. OSOC RJ11C. A 9 inch tall Ronald McDonald is standing on a 1-1/4 inch high white base. The base says 'Ronald McDonald' on the front in red and yellow. Ronald is waving with his right arm and his left arm is down. He is wearing his yellow outfit with 3 white pockets each having the McDonalds logo (Golden Arches) on them. White pushbuttons with red lettering are on his back. Golden Arches are molded in above the buttons and have holes under the arches to hear the phone. There are also holes near the back of his knees to talk into. It has a white coiled cord.
Miller Lite Can Phone This looks like a 6 1/4" tall Miller Lite 12 oz. beer can. Push button numbers are on the bottom of the can. The phone hangs up when it is set down. It has pulse dialing and redial and mute buttons.
Number One The #1 phone came over from Taiwan or China in the 1980's. It was a plain white phone in the shape of #1. The dial pad was on the bottom. It looks like a cheapy. Companies would then buy these phones in quantity and have their own logos stamped or painted on the phone. There are many out there including Hertz, Murry Homes, 7-Up, Computer Associates, CompuServe, TV Guide, and TANG (painted fully orange).
Ozzie Koala A promotional telephone from Qantas Airlines. Made completely in Australia. A furry koala wearing an outback felt hat, one hand holds the phone, the other hand holds an Australian flag. The koala is standing on Ayer's Rock, a famous Australian landmark. He is wearing a yellow t-shirt with "Ozzie Koala" written on it.
Pepsi-Cola Can Phone 1980s red/white/blue Pepsi-Cola Can Phone manufactured by Tectel in Taiwan, and licensed by PepsiCo. Came packaged in a larger cardboard can that also looked like a Pepsi-Cola can. Features include Tone/Pulse switch, last-number redial, mute key. Model 1073.
Pepsi Phone Telephone that looks like a Pepsi-Cola vending machine. Licensed by the Pepsi-Cola Company 1995 and produced by Polyconcepts. It features Tone/pulse switchable, Star/Pound button, Ringer light on/off, redial, Ringer on/off, Free standing or wall mounting, The PEPSI lights up when the phone rings and it needs 4 "AA" batteries for the light. 11" wide x 19" tall.
7-Up Spot Could not buy retail. Came from 7-Up vendors. 10" tall Spot standing like he is holding the phone on a 5 x 9 inch black and white checkered phone base floor. A small 7-up logo is on the front.
Tang Lips Man This was a "Canada only" promotional phone for TANG orange drink. Tang Man stands about 8 inches tall on a round plastic base. His head is a pair of huge red lips. He is wearing sneakers. Both hands are giving "thumbs up." On the base is written "TANG." Push buttons are on the bottom of base.
Tetley Tea Man This phone was a Canada-only promotional piece. The touchtone dial pad is on bottom of the phone. It is tone/pulse switchable and has a ringer on/off switch. Has a blue cord. Dimensions: 10" high and 5" diameter at the base.
