for Coleco in 1984 and is marked Model 7911 on a white tag on the bottom.
Features include touch tone dialing, mute key, last-number redial key, and
in-use LED. Extra long cord. This phone is unique because the girl's arm
is stationary and doesn't move when you hang up. The receiver has 'Coleco'
inside the handle area and is unique to this phone, having a magnet in it
that activates the hang-up mechanism inside the girl's arm. The phone is
about 12 inches in height and the base is about 10 inches by 6 inches. On
the back of the base is a Ringer on-off switch and the standard phone cord
connector. |

dog sitting on a basket with a bone across his feet. The bone is actually
a telephone receiver. This phone is also a speakerphone. A pushbutton to
the right of the dog is marked 'HandsFree On / Off' and enables the
speakerphone. A volume control above the pushbutton dial controls speaker
volume and the speaker is in the dog's back. A switch on the left of the
dog controls ringer hi, lo, or bark. When it barks, the dogs mouth and
eyes move. There is a mouth Movement Adjustment on the bottom. Another
switch is marked 'Memory Store / Auto Dial'. It also has a pulse/tone
switch on the bottom and a battery compartment for four penlight batteries
and a 9-volt battery. A DC Adapter jack is also available. The dial has a
memory button and a Redial button.

Mouse telephone with a rotary dial. Mickey is holding a yellow receiver.
He is marked "Walt Disney Productions" on the rear of his red

This telephone was later available
with pushbuttons. It also was available with a single or double 3-way lamp
attached to the back of the base and with white pleated lampshade(s). The
lamp versions were used in Disney Hotels.
There were four characters produced
using the same phone - Mickey Mouse, Snoopy, Kermit the Frog, and Winnie
the Pooh.

and arms are out and upward because he is tossing a pizza crust. Across
the front of the base in red letters it reads 'Pizza inn'. You listen to
pizza man's shoulder and speak into just under his left foot. Has plug-in

This phone is a replica of the classic droid from the "Star
Wars" trilogy. R2D2 appears in his usual brilliant white, blue, and
silver finish with strong attention to detail. When the phone rings, R2-D2
comes to life - his head rotates, lights blink and he makes realistic
R2-D2 sounds. His left "arm" serves as the handset, while his
"shoulder" serves as the phone's cradle. R2D2's "feet"
are the base, which are connected to his body. It has a switchable ringer

This
is a rare telephone and is featured on the cover of the Schiffer book
about novelty telephones. The tongue lifts out of the mouth and has the
telephone buttons on the back of it. Functions include mute, redial, and a
ringer on/off switch. It can set on a table but has slots to allow it to
be mounted on a wall and it looks best hung. It was made in 1983 by
Musidor in Hong Kong, exclusively for Tristar International Ltd. |
Snoopy
and Woodstock |
On
the bottom of the phone it says "The Snoopy and Woodstock Phone"
American Telecommunications Corporation, El Monte Calif. model number
ubm8010. It's dated 1976. It also has the serial number and FCC
regulations number. About 14 inches tall and 9 inches wide. It has a
plastic base w/woodgrain around the bottom of the base. The top of the
base is red plastic. This came with either a touch-tone key pad or a dial.
Snoopy stands behind the dial with his right arm extended holding the
yellow receiver. His left arm is propped on his hip. Woodstock stands
directly below Snoopy's left arm. Snoopy's head can turn from side to
side. It has a high/low ringer control. This is one of four similar ATC
character phones distributed by the Bell system with permission of Disney
(Mickey Mouse, Snoopy, Kermit the Frog, and Winnie the Pooh). |

This
is a 1980s one-piece pushbutton phone that came with a hanger to hang it
on a wall. It can also be used on a flat surface. There is a button on
Snoopy's back that hangs it up when depressed. Snoopy is 7 ½" long
and 5" tall and is white with black ears,eyes,and nose. He has a red
collar and a red phone cord. On the ear speaker it says:1958,1966 United
Syndicate Inc. Deterimed Productions Inc. It has push buttons but dials
with rotary pulses rather than tones. Features last-number redial, mute. |

sunglasses on and a blue sweater. There is a place on the wall for
pencils. Snoopy is wearing sunglasses with a sweater that says JOE COOL.

SpiderMan Telephone made by MCG. Large yellow base that looks like a roof
with a red brick chimney that a fully painted 12" rubber Spiderman is
crawling down! A deep blue phone receiver is to the side of Spidey and the
chimney. At the top of the receiver is a decal stating "The Amazing
Spiderman." Another decal in the middle of the receiver is a spider
emblem. Lift the receiver and you will see a decal of Spidey swinging
through the air. Roof and Chimney are made of plastic and Spidey is made
of rubber. Base measures 7' x 8-1/2" and phone is 10-1/4" tall.
Base reads "Spider Man TM © 1984 MCG Made in Hong Kong".

It is gray. SPIDER-MAN has blue tights with a red top with spider webs on

On back of receiver is a big black spider. Front of receiver has a picture

subscribed to Sports Illustrated magazine. It looks and feels like a real
sneaker or white running shoe. It is a bit over 10 1/2" long and has
phone switch-off. You speak and listen through the bottom of the shoe. |

that looks exactly like a 30 foot Stanley tape measure. The unit splits
open down the middle and flips into a pushbutton telephone! Marked on back

Star
Trek Enterprise |
1993
Telemania limited edition. A replica of the USS Enterprise is mounted on a
black base shaped as the V insignia. Black dialing push buttons with white
numerals are in the base. The handset is shaped as half of the ship: you
pick it up and the mouthpiece is at the rear and the receiver is the front
round part of the ship. When you pick up the handset, the two engines are
still attached to the ship. You can set the ringer to ring or to the red
alert sound you hear when the Enterprise is being attacked. The two red
warp lights in front of the engines flash when the phone rings. The ship
measures 11" and the base 10-1/2". The height to the highest
point of the ship is about 7-3/4". it is inscribed with William
Shatner's autograph. Phone features include regular ringer option, redial
and mute functions, pulse/tone switchable, hearing aid compatible.
Numbered certificate of historical data included. FCC and ETL approved.

Superman

in 1979 in China by A.T.E., and licensed by DC Comics. He is about
18" tall. Very difficult to find! This push button phone has SUPERMAN
standing on a 8 inch by 9 inch white telephone base in front of a gray
skyscraper. His red hard plastic cape extends down to base and the
reciever hangs up vertically in the back of the cape. This same phone was
also made in a rotary dial version. |

41 'Superman', manufactured by MCC (MicroCommunications Corp.) in 1978.
MCC is a subsidiary of MicroSemiconductor Corp of Santa Ana, California.
Simulated walnut plastic base houses the telephone. Available in tone or
pulse dialing versions. Came optionally with last-number redial, hold,
toll restrict, 10-number memory, or speaker phone option.
Superman figure is about 15" ht, hand painted poly resin, cloth cape
with "S" on back. Micro Communications was shut down in 1978 by
DC Comics for trademark violations. The phones, statuettes and molds were
suppose to have been destroyed, but were not. |

horizontally behind superman in this 1978 rotary-dial version. Superman
had a large red cloth cape. About 300 were made in China for Allied
Communications before production was stopped due to trademark violations. |

Telecommunications Corporation. It stands 14 inches tall. This touchtone
phone has a red and brown plastic base with Winnie holding a brown
receiver in his right hand and touching a blue butterfly with his left
hand. The soft rubber butterfly is often missing on this phone since it is
very fragile. This phone is listed on page 94 of Carol Smith's Winnie The
Pooh Collectables II book. Features include touch-tone dialing and hi/low
ringer switch. This phone was also available in a rotary-dial version
and/or with a lamp. |
