Postcards

If postcard collecting is a "window to the world" then collecting postcards with a telephone theme gives a wonderful picture of all aspects of telephone history - importantly, its' place in every day life.

Naturally the big benefit in collecting paper articles, is that they are so easy to store unlike the telephone equipment that is so bulky.

The following images are just a few of the better examples of the thousands of telephone related postcards that are reasonably easy to find.

If I ever try to put together a more complete picture, there would be Telephone related Postcards in a very broad range of categories such as -

ADVERTISING ANIMALS ART BIRTHDAY / PARTY CHILDREN
CHRISTMAS EASTER GREETINGS HUMOROUS INTERNATIONAL
MESSAGES MODERN OPERATORS RISQUÉ DOWNRIGHT RUDE
ROMANTIC STORYLINE RARE TELEPHONES VALENTINE and
VICTORIAN DRESS FASHION
